Self Heal

Foxglove, mullein, wall rue, clover
with wild bees over, jackdaw, rook,
south wind soothing waving grass,
the grass running now to seed: blackbird
in the copper beech and the tower
ringing the quarters of each hour
high above the churchyard where
the gravestones lean. Daisies,
love in the mist, lavender. Silence,
then at three the peal. Buttercups,
and written on the stone "Thy will be done".
Ants on the wall. Self heal. Sun.
